The New Zealand U-20’s have begun to increase their preparations for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup. On Sunday they battled a tough Mexico side to a 2-0 loss. Olé’s own Noah Billingsley started the match, while Callum McCowatt came on as a substitute.
“The game against Mexico was a really tough game to play in. It was scrappy and even dirty at times, but as a team it was exactly what we needed. We came out of it quite happy.”
“Mexico are a good footballing side and we knew that the game would be tough. Maybe feel a little hard done by as we should of come away with a result, but there are a lot of positives to take away from the game.”
