Ole Football Academy’s Logan Kinajil-Moran commits to Bucknell University.
We couldn’t be more pleased for Ole Football Academy’s Logan Kinajil-Moran, who has committed to Bucknell University. He’ll head off to Pennsylvania in August to join their Division 1 Men’s Soccer team, and pursue his studies, likely in economics.
Logan is a goalkeeper and has been with Olé since the age of 12. During his time at Olé, Logan has shown to be the epitome of the Olé student – athlete. He is an incredible young man, who during his time developed courage, resilience, intelligence, and dedication to his position’s craft. We’ve absolutely loved watching Logan develop as a person, player and teammate throughout the last 5 – 6 years.
Olé FA Technical Director, Ben Sippola, has worked alongside Logan and his family to find the right fit in a university, “Bucknell has a great academic reputation, with a solid soccer programme, which we think will suit Logan perfectly.” Logan has taken his studies seriously at Wellington College. He is a high achieving student, who was also a Prefect and received awards in Business Studies and Spanish.
Olé Head Goalkeeper Coach, Froylan Onofre, has been working closely with Logan and remarked that he is a ‘coach’s ideal player,’ who always wants more from himself and his teammates. “I know he’ll excel at Bucknell. He’s definitely prepared for the next step,” Froylan said.
With regards to football (soccer now!), Logan has said “The team is pretty ambitious, and looking to win the Patriot League.” He is hoping to get some regular playing time early on, and to perform well, while adjusting to life in a new country.
“There’s no doubt that Logan will make the most of his opportunity, and add value to his new team just as he’s done at Olé FA and Western Suburbs for the last 6 years,” said Ben. “Everyone here will miss him, but we’re looking forward to watching the next part of his journey unfold.”
Congratulations Logan, from everyone at Olé FA!
