The summer of 2016/17 sees the introduction of The Olé Football Academy Girls Summer Programme. We are recruiting ambitious Wellington based girls born between 2000-2008 interested in taking their football skills to another level over the summer months.
The Olé Football Academy Girls Summer Programme is a football development initiative aimed at developing the elite player’s core football skills within the framework of a possession based attacking style of play over the course of a six month calendar and curriculum.
We are looking for elite girls with their sights set on 1st Team Women’s Central League football and U.S. University scholarships.

Players from all clubs are welcome to participate and expression of interest forms will be accepted up until September 4th, 2016. Trials will take place in the second week of September with exact dates and times to be confirmed ASAP.
All players interested in the summer programme, current academy players included, must fill out an expresssion of interest form to be eligible for participation.
The summer programme is open to girls born between 2000 and 2008 with possible exceptions taken into consideration. Players accepted into the summer programme will be divided into 3 separate training groups.
Young Olé 1: 2000 – 2003 Birthdates
Young Olé 2: 2004 – 2005 Birthdates
Young Olé 3 Boys and Girls: 2006 – 2008 Birthdates
The groups will be based on a combination of age and the discretion of Olé professional training staff and are subject to change throughout the programme. Young Olé 1 and Young Olé 2 will train 3 times per week. The Young Olé 3 group, overseen by Craig Candy, will train 2 times per week with the Young Olé 3 Boys group.
The programme will run between Sunday 18th September 2016 and Sunday 19th February 2017 at a combination of Endeavour Park and the Olé Football Academy. Appropriate football breaks will be scheduled during the Term 3 school break (1 week) and the Christmas holidays (4 weeks).
Costs for the Summer Programme are as follows:
Young Olé Girls 1: $950
Young Olé Girls 2: $900
Young Olé Boys & Girls3: $600
This cost does not include training kit which will be available for purchase through Football Central at an additional cost. Current academy players are allowed to wear Olé Football Academy kit from the 2016 winter club season.
Olé Football Academy does take into consideration scholarship opportunities for players and families in need of financial assistance. Families seeking assistance will be asked to submit a financial history report and annual income statements. Please send scholarship inquiries to Joel Zimmerly.
