What is TDP?

Players within a talent development programme (TDP) receive regular training sessions, delivered by qualified coaches, with access to quality facilities. Players compete in the Capital Development Leagues which have recognised standards, and identification processes. These standards are driven nationwide to ensure consistency of delivery meaning that the players receive a quality experience.

Player development is a continuous process and TDP is seeking to develop better players over a longer period. Players will continue to receive consistent and quality sessions throughout the year.

Ole Academy and Western Suburbs TDP

The TDP programme is run by Ole FA in a partnership with Western Suburbs.

During the Winter Season, all players train at the Ole Academy and represent Western Suburbs by competing in their respective Capital Development League. Our development group players are part of a comprehensive, year-round training programme designed to foster their development and prepare them for higher levels of competition.

Under the guidance of our experienced and qualified coaching team, players follow a meticulously crafted, player-centred curriculum tailored to their age and stage of development. Many of our TDP players have advanced to excel at the highest levels, earning spots on our men’s first team and securing opportunities both nationally and internationally.

Dates: January 26th 2026 – December 11th 2026
Training Days: 4 Days Per Week
Academy Training Kit: Training kit can be purchased from Dynasty for $105.

Western Suburbs Registration Fee: TBC

Eligibility

Open to players in the following age groups. D14 (2012), D15 (2011), D17 (2010 – 2009)

* existing Ole Academy players do not need to register and are not required for the first week of the process.

Trial Dates:

• Dates: December 1st, 2025 – December 12th, 2025.
• Trial Days:
       Week 1 – Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
       Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday (Invite Only)
• Trial Times
       D14: 4:30 – 5:30pm
       D15: 5:30 – 7.00pm
       D17: 7:00 – 8:30pm

Trial Process

After week 1, selected players will be invited back to continue training in week 2 with the current wider tdp training group.

All players will be notified of the outcome during this phase by e-mail and we will not be providing feedback at this stage.

Following training on week 2 all players still participating will have individual player meetings to advise of the trial out come, provided feedback. Formal offers for 2026 will be sent out to accepted players with a parents group meeting on the 12th of December.
