Olé Football Academy confirms Matthew Calvert as their new Head of Goalkeeping, P2 Head Coach and Community Coordinator for the 2024 Football Season.
The experience of newly hired Olé Football Academy Head of Goalkeeping, P2 Head Coach and Community Coordinator Matt Calvert brings to our team is another exciting step forward for this years’ 2024 season and beyond.
The former Central Football National League head coach and development officer’s tenure with Olé FA and Western Suburbs FC officially starts on January 20, 2024 ahead of the Capital Football League season.
“I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity here at Olé,” Calvert said. “I’m really excited about the challenge and learnings that lay ahead. After first meeting with Alan (Koch – Technical Director and HC for WSFC), I was blown away by the environment here and I am motivated to play my part in the process”.
“We are incredibly excited to add Matt to our staff at Olé FA,” said Koch. “His professionalism, enthusiasm and expertise will be a massive asset to our academy. I am very excited to see the positive impact he can have on all the players he will work with.”
The former player for Whanganui Athletic Football Club made132 appearances, was player/coach for WAFC for two seasons and coached his team to the Federation League champions for 2022. Calvert holds his OFC B Licence.
