At Olé Football Academy we aim to promote a pathway for New Zealand player development from 1st kicks to the 1st Team. This process ideally begins through Olé in Schools and Olé’s Skill Builders programmes. The Olé Way and the processes we follow have been highlighted in publications such as Stuff and Capital Magazine.
The Olé player development pathway is evident as the Western Suburbs First Team (Olé Football Academy’s partner) won the Central League with an average team age of 18.5 years. Over the last five years no team in the Central League has achieved more points than Western Suburbs.
2017’s team was littered with young talent straight out of Porirua. The photos below show what is possible when clubs invest in developing their own talent! Congrats boys!
