When: Thursday 9th February, 6:15 p.m.
What: Come on out! Support the Young Olé players! Get to know more of the Olé community. Watch Wellington football at its’ finest and meet and greet the Team Wellington 1st team players.
To make up for the past two Thursdays, the Young Olé 1 and 2 training schedules will now conclude on Thursday, February 23rd (one week later than originally planned).
Attention Young Olé 1, 2, 3 and Skill Builders players and parents,
This Thursday, January 2nd Young Olé 1 and 2 training is cancelled.
The cancellation is due to a friendly match scheduled between Team Wellington and a Young Olé Academy side (Ages 15 – 18).
We would absolutely love to see the Young Olé 1, 2, 3 and Skill Builders parents and players come on out to support the Olé players as they face off against current Stirling Sports Premiership Champions and OFC Champions League contenders, Team Wellington. David Farrington Park is arguably the best kept grass pitch in Wellington and also one of the best venues to watch a high level match.
The staff at Olé see this as a valuable learning opportunity for the Young Olé player to get an understanding of what is required to play the game at the higher levels. The New Zealand youth footballer simply does not have the opportunity to watch enough football! Players in attendance will be asked to watch the game as well as complete an assignment to hand in on Saturday’s session. The match presents a great opportunity for parents and players to see the Olé pathway in action.
