Olé Football Academy Apprentice Staff and Alumni: THANK YOU

2017 has been an absolute blast at the Olé Football Academy in Porirua, New Zealand.

Apprentice staff and Olé alumni from around the globe and a number of U.S. Universities came in to boost the organisation’s operations, support the day to day running of the academy, and begin to “give back” to the future generation of Young Olé players. A university vibe certainly resonated through the academy from May – August as many Olé Alumni returned to New Zealand for their respective “summer” breaks.

Apprentice staff members, Alexis Prillaman, Kyle Adams and Brandon De La Rosa introduced Olé TV to players and parents for a more in depth look into the academy. Kaylin Williams played a massive role in driving the Olé Football In Schools, Skill Builders and Grassroots Programmes. Lydia Pereverzina ran introduction yoga classes for Young Olé players as well as educated the academy players and staff on the benefits of a plant based diet. Erik Alexandersson brought a Swedish flair to the academy with his homemade chocolate balls, Young Olé 1, 2, and 3 team building exercises, and Vikingesque workmanship. Blake Jones was not only a stalwart in defense for Western Suburbs, he also ran the show in residence, was accepted to a prestigious Law School in the US of A, and earned Olé 2017 apprentice of the year honours, an award which will now be named after him 🙂

We would like to extend a BIG thank you to all of the Olé Alumni that were back in action for Western Suburbs 1st and 2nd teams! No matter how small, everyone played a part in helping the organisation continue to tick along in CANi and LiBTYFi fashion. We wish you all the best as you return to your respective universities with a little bit of the Olé way in your boots. Thank you for helping us make this “the best place to work in football.”
