Ryan Thomas has officially completed his transfer to PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie from PEC Zwolle, signing a 4 year contract with the 2017/18 Dutch Champions.
Long time player under Olé Football Academy’s Technical Director, Declan Edge, Thomas relocated to Wellington at the beginning of 2013 to continue to develop at Olé Academy. In October 2013, Thomas signed with PEC Zwolle in the Dutch Eredivisie, where he went on to play for 5 seasons, making a total of 143 appearances for the club.
“I think it’s the right time to take the next step”, says Thomas. “I’ve a learnt a lot during my spell at PEC Zwolle and I think it’s great I will be able to show my skills in Eindhoven now. This is what I’ve been looking forward to”. Thomas told PSV.nl
Thomas, 23, has begun training and will be available for selection for their next game against Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie. PSV will also be competing in this years UEFA Champions League.
