The Olé Football Academy team are excited to have two new coaches on board for the Summer. Both from Christchurch, Ollie Hawkins and Tyler Logan have come North to join us in Porirua!
Ollie has been coaching the Men’s First Team at Waimak United FC, and brings a strong background in community sports development, where he has been working with community clubs, schools and other organisations to provide positive football experience to a diverse range of people.
Tyler comes to Olé from a role with Ferrymead Bays Football Club as a Football Development Officer, working across youth development and senior environments at the club.
Both Ollie and Tyler have pretty quickly settled in and become part of the Olé family, bringing lots of value to the organisation already. They are getting stuck into work with our Young Olé Summer Programme, out on the pitch working with our Junior and Youth players. Ollie is also supporting in our Community Football space and Tyler in our girls and women’s space, among other exciting projects!
First impressions for Ollie are that Olé is a very special, unique environment. “No egos here just a collective team, all under the same roof with the same vision for one-another.”
Tyler is loving the environment and the people at Olé so far, and is looking forward to the Summer ahead. “Everyone has made me feel extremely welcome and it already feels like I’ve become part of a second family.”
Olé are very grateful to have these guys on board and we can’t wait to see what we can get done with them on the team this Summer. Welcome, guys!
