Western Suburbs and Olé Football Academy will hold trials for the 2016 Junior Development Squad on Saturday 27th February and Sunday 28th February.
Building upon the success of last season’s 13th and 14th grade second tier training, Western Suburbs and Olé Football Academy have established the Wests/Olé Junior Development Squad Programme to commence for the 2016 season.
The Junior Development Squad Programme recognises children develop at different rates and seeks to provide an excellent professional coaching and player development environment wholly consistent with the Wests/Olé Junior Development Academy Programme for children playing in age grades 11–14.
This programme is aimed at those young players who will be representing Western Suburbs in a second team capacity in their respective age grades and playing in the Capital Football Travel Leagues.
Training takes place on the Ascot Park artificial surface on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:30-6:00pm. In addition to these sessions, selected Development Squad players will participate in a game day training session on a Sunday morning joining the Wests/Olé Junior Development Academy players. These Development Squad players will be selected on a week by week basis.
Training commences on Tuesday 5th April 2016 and breaks for recognised school holiday periods. The final training session will be on Thursday 25th August 2016.
Junior Development Squad numbers are limited to 11 for grades 11 & 12 and 14 for grades 13 & 14.
All players are encouraged to attend both trial dates.
