“The football days of five Ole Football Academy players have just got even busier, after they were named in a national under-17 training squad.
The squad meets next week in Auckland. The Ole players who will be making the trip are Owen Parker-Price, Michael Faber, Callum McCowatt, Liam Jones and Ahmad Mohammadi.
Jones, Mohammadi and McCowatt come from Auckland and while homesickness has been something to overcome, all are enjoying the experience under the coaches at Ole.
“It’s been great,” McCowatt said. “The training is so different and of such a high quality. You miss your family, but this is what we want to do.’ ”
