Capital Football XI Named: Olé Entourage Featured

The Capital Football XI to play the Wellington Phoenix on Saturday 2nd September has been named. The two sides meet at Kapiti’s Weka Park with kick off at 2pm.

Coached by Declan Edge, who led Western Suburbs to the Central League title this season, the side features a mix of up-and-coming and established talent.

Among those in the latter category, Paul Ifill, who coached this side in 2015, returns to face the team he made 106 appearances for.

Last season, the Phoenix started the corresponding fixture with a full-strength side, taking the opportunity to show off their new signings in a 3-0 win. With plenty of new recruits in black and yellow this year, it could another good opportunity for them to stretch their legs.
