Job Opening– Head Coach Girls/Women’s Football

Olé Football Academy is looking for a Head Coach of Ole FA Girls/Women’s Football Programme to join the team!

This is a full-time role for someone who is passionate about working with young women and their development as footballers and people.

About the Role:
The Head Girls/Women’s Football Coach is responsible for overseeing all female players currently in the academy – generally, youth players of various ages, developing programming for the girls and womens space, as well as supporting the growth of the girls programme through fundraising and recruiting.

The ideal candidate will exhibit character traits of integrity, work ethic, creativity, willingness to learn, resourcefulness and respect for others and will serve as a role model and adviser for players in a general capacity. Core to our academy culture is the belief that our coaching team must walk the walk. We cannot ask of our players what we are not willing to do ourselves.

The person in this role will need to learn and understand the Olé FA style of play and our philosophies, and ensure these are implemented into training. There is also plenty of opportunity and freedom to innovate and implement new ideas.

This role will involve research, planning, delivery, evaluation and analysis for both training and games. This coach will work closely alongside other coaches to run training and assist at matches.

The nature of the role requires flexibility, adaptability and open mindedness.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Two years of proven coaching experience working with and improving the performance of serious football athletes (preferably female athletes and teams)

Strong connections to and knowledge of NCAA university system in the United States to support player placement in the US Strong administrative skills.

Candidate must have the ability to manage large datasets and confidential information

Strong inter-personal and communication skills

Proven track record of growing, recruiting and managing programming to attract young players

Knowledge of the New Zealand football girls and women’s playing landscape

Track record of strong commitment to a positive player experience and ensuring athlete welfare is paramount

Ability to supervise and train other coaches on Ole FA specific philosophy and style of play
