In the name of Life – Long Learning (L3) and developing Confident, Courageous and Capable (C3) young people, Olé Carpool – Commuter Classroom is a weekly news segment for Olé parents and players. Whether your family’s commute to Porirua is just 5 minutes (Whitby) or 90 minutes (Wairarapa), the drive to training allows an incredible opportunity to tune in, listen and learn together.
Carpool – Commuter Classroom features podcasts, video blogs and media that the Olé staff and Young Olé players (ages 15 – 18) use in their weekly mentorship discussions and round table series. The intention of Olé Carpool – Commuter Classroom content is to bring parents and families along the educational ride of youth player and personal development, as well as provide insight into day to day academy conversations.
We hope you enjoy this week’s interview from the Rich Roll Podcast, HOW TO ACHIEVE PEAK PERFORMANCE — AND SUSTAIN IT — WITH BRAD STULBERG & STEVE MAGNESS. This is a ridiculous discussion and encapsulates so much of what we are trying to coach and teach to our players and parents on a daily basis. Topics include: rest, recovery, growth, stress, service, cell phone phantom rings, balance… the list goes on!
If you are tuning into Carpool Commuter Classroom we would love to know! We will be posting this week’s episode on Facebook. Please like or leave a comment if you are tuning in. After all, the main reason behind this content is to help educate the Olé parent and player on #theoléway!
