Olé F.A. host South Auckland Elite

Last week Olé welcomed South Auckland Elite academy to beautiful Porirua for the third year in a row. 5 days of pure football, SAE made the most of the perfect weather, even heading to Titahi Bay beach for a 9:00 a.m. swim!

SAE was also treated to two Western Suburbs matches, seeing the Wests reserves come from behind to defeat Waterside Karori 4–2 and Western Suburbs first team beat Wellington Phoenix U20 side (Wellington United) 2-0.

The opportunity to host South Auckland Elite is always a great experience, with coaches Calle Vredin, Isaac Tetteh and Michael Clayton already looking forward to doing it all over again later on in the year!

The SAE (South Auckland Elite) football group has visited Olé Academy on multiple occasions during the past 2 years. They have catered for our needs whether we have 2 players or 22 players, staying on site or off. On every occasion Olé have been very effective in supporting our time spent in Wellington. Their quality of coaching and application of content is second to none and they provide an appropriate environment for sporting and social development. What has impressed me most are the philosophies and values that are evident through each age group and are consistent from each coach. Olé have a clear vision towards nurturing young talent. Developing future stars requires long term vision, constant work and patience. Their vision, mission and perseverance in pursuing the ultimate goal are evident in their success.
