After picking up seven points with two wins and a draw in Stage 3 Qualifying so far, the All Whites needed only a point to book a spot in the two-legged Oceania final, where the winner will progress to the inter-continental play-off.

The All Whites will now play the winner of Group B, currently topped by Tahiti, in a home-and-away play-off between August 28 and September 5 for a place in the inter-continental play-off against the fifth-placed South American team – that team currently being Argentina
